How we handle Thordon requests

Thordon supplies water-lubricated and grease-free polymer bearing materials as an alternative to traditional bronze or babbitt bearings, most commonly for propeller shaft (stern tube) and rudder bearing applications. Requests are typically for a bearing blank or finished bushing machined to specific inner diameter, outer diameter and length — those three dimensions, plus the bearing's duty (stern tube vs. rudder vs. deck machinery), are what determine the correct material grade and manufacturing route.

Customers can send part numbers, maker references, equipment model data, serial numbers, nameplates, photos, drawings, old offers or previous supply documents. We review the information before quoting so the request is handled as a technical procurement task rather than a generic product search.
